New Sanrio Sailor Collar Series Is the Pastel Summer Dream We All Need

Yet another pastel nautical dream has dropped, this time from Sanrio Japan, and it’s everything. The new Sailor Collar design series features Hello Kitty and her most popular friends dressed in adorable marine-themed outfits with pastel colors, sailor-style ribbons, and cute collars. Very Sailor Moon, very need-this-immediately.

What’s Included in the Sanrio Sailor Collar Collection?

Looking to add something from this dreamy nautical series to your Sanrio shelf? This lineup includes plushie mascot holders, tote bags, pouches, stickers, and even hair clips. Below, I’ve rounded up everything from the release, plus prices in both yen and USD, so you know what to expect when shopping on ZenMarket or Buyee.

1. Mascot Holder (7 types!) – 2,200 yen (about $15 USD)

Featuring: Hello Kitty, My Melody, Cinnamoroll, Kuromi, Pompompurin, Pochacco, and Hanamaruobake.

No Sanrio drop is complete without some kawaii plushies. These feature blushing cheeks, little anchor patches, and embroidered heart details that make them feel extra-special. Labubu, eat your heart out.

2. Little Twin Stars Mascot Holder – 4,400 yen (about $30 USD)

Featuring: Kiki and Lala

Yes, these come as a pair! Kiki and Lala are absolutely shining with their tiny embroidered stars. These plushies would make the cutest gift to share with your BFF, sibling, or partner (you know, the Kiki to your Lala) ✨

3. Sailor Ribbon Tote bag (see image above) – 2,497 yen ($17 USD)

Featuring: Featuring: Hello Kitty, My Melody, Cinnamoroll, Little Twin Stars, Kuromi, Pompompurin, Pochacco, and Hanamaruobake.

This tote is giving major Usagi Tsukino energy, without being actual Sailor Moon merch. It holds A4-sized items (MacBook Air? Notebooks? You’re good) and features every character from the series under a logo bookmarked with pastel pink and blue anchors. We love the Trans pride colors in this house.

4. Sailor Ribbon Shoulder bag (see image above) – 3,696 yen ($25 USD)

Featuring: Hello Kitty, Cinnamoroll, My Melody, and Kuromi.

Looking for a bag to customize with your fave plushie keychains? This one’s perfect! It has a clear front pouch to show off mascot holders or even Sylvanian Families/Calico Critters. Just note: Hanamaruobake and others aren’t featured here, so go for the tote if you want the full gang.

5. Sailor sticker set (see image above) – 550 yen ($3.75 USD)

Featuring: Hello Kitty, My Melody, Cinnamoroll, Little Twin Stars, Kuromi, Pompompurin, Pochacco, and Hanamaruobake.

Stickers! Need I say more? These sailor-themed cuties are perfect for decorating your phone, laptop, planner, or wherever your sticker heart desires. (Full disclosure: I suffer from sticker decision paralysis and never use mine.)

6. Sailor Ribbon pouch (4 types) – 1,980 yen ($13.50 USD)

Featuring: Hello Kitty, My Melody, Cinnamoroll, and Kuromi

Great for makeup, craft supplies, or stationery, these pouches have unique ribbon-and-anchor designs for each character. The back details also match each character’s personality, so sweet!

7. Aurora Mascot keychain (4 types)(see image above) – 1,342 ($9.20 USD)

These keychains have a soft iridescent “aurora” shine and come with character name tags! Clip them onto your tote, backpack, or even display them on a cute acrylic stand.

8. Secret bang clips (8 types) – 792 yen ($5.40 USD)

Featuring: Hello Kitty, My Melody, Cinnamoroll, Little Twin Stars, Kuromi, Pompompurin, Pochacco, and Hanamaruobake.

These clever little clips are meant to hold your bangs back during skincare or makeup routines. They’re sold as blind bags, so if you’re picky (hi, me too), I recommend waiting for resale so you can grab your fave directly.

Where to Buy the Sanrio Sailor Collar Collection

Right now, this entire Sailor Collar series is exclusive to Sanrio Japan. U.S. retailers might carry select items later, but no guarantees.

To get your hands on these, you’ll need to:

I have pretty good luck without using Japanese search terms, so my advice is to look up the character you want, plus “Sailor + the type of item”. So if you wanted the Kuromi Mascot Holder, try “Kuromi Sailor Mascot Holder”.

Final Thoughts

This is one of the cutest seasonal collections Sanrio has put out in a while. Soft pastels, a sailor theme, and tons of character variety? Yeah, it’s giving peak summer vibes. Let me know in the comments or on Instagram which item you’re dying to grab!
